    macOS 13.2 Update

OC 0.8.8 upgrade to 13.2 with small 1G file worked. Walked away and came back to a black screen... after a sigh, realised it had just gone to sleep after the update :) Intel Core i7-8700 non K. Gigabyte Z370N WiFi. 500GB Samsung 970 EVO M.2. WiFi adapter from MacBook Air (BCM94360CS2). Gigabyte...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Nice. Just finished my clean install. Not only did everything work that was working before but also managed to fix 2 bugs (one my own stupid fault): 1) onboard ALC887 sound now seems to work after sleep (yay) 2) I *finally* upgraded the BIOS from F4 to F15 and it got rid of the no entry boot...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Anyone tested 10.12 Sierra on this build yet? Just started downloading it. As a side note, the last time I installed "MacOS" it was on a G3 and a 9600 with version 9 back in 2000 or 2001.

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Yeah - only the onboard works with the BIOS/clover, but after that I get all 5 or 6 monitors working. I think I have everything set to use the onboard graphics and then OSX just picks up the 670 as well. I was expecting to have to fight, but I just put the 670 in and then all my screens came up...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

I use Mac Pro 3,1 (2008). I didn't play much with the iMac ones, but found 3,1 more reliable when using the version 2 of the OsxAptioFixDrv. I have fince moved away from 2 back to OsxAptioFixDrv. My card worked out of the box (which is why I chose the older 670 card).

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Second that - I just use an old spinning drive and clone my current SSD. Then if there are problems I can either run from the spinning drive till they are fixed or clone back to the SSD. (All files are stored on seperate drives, so it is just the OS & Apps & Settings). Haven't used a DSDT...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Hi pcw3d, I would probably recommend a newer system these days that Moarfish build. It was a great system, but there are better and faster components available now. Have a look aver on the Buyer's Guide page (currently: http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-march-2016.html)...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Thanks scram69 - I may have to try using iMac 13,1 again (i5 3570k CPU). Last time I couldn't even get it to boot past the "no entry" sign with that. But now I know more about what was causing that on my system (Uninstalled OsxAptioFix2Drv and installed OsxAptioFixDrv) it may work. I think I am...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Hi daveshackintosh - for mine I installed as per the guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-guides/172672-unibeast-install-os-x-el-capitan-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html with the following config/notable items: Specific things I had to change from my 10.8 install: 1) VT-d...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

How have people gone with 10.11(.1) and Multibeast 8 with this setup/build? For me currently everything seems to be working fine with 2 exceptions (I haven't tested USB fully yet however): 1) Onboard audio is hit and miss after sleep but always works fine through display speakers (seems to...

[CLOSED] MultiBeast 6.0 config import not quite right

By no means a large problem (and I don't have screen shots/log files at the moment - sorry) but I found that if I trim down MB setting to a minimum and save the config, then when importing the saved settings I get extra selections added. EG: I changed to macmini 6,2 profile, but found that Mac...

    Chimera 2.2 Update

IGPEnabler = YAY!! I have been running with HD4000 manually injected and GE=no for my other card to get my 4 monitors working. I will give it a god when I get home :)

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Are you saying you managed to get mute working OOTB just using Chimera and nothing else special/config changes or ??? Because I have never realised how often I use mute on my keyboard until now... Also - I tested a USB 3 dock a week ago and it seemed to work (and I think was identified...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Thanks Stork - that's good to know it doesn't just slap a new (or old) binary there. Do you have a link with details about the sandforce not needing trim? I just cant quite see how the drive can know the data is deleted...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

Doh!! The guide is here: http://digitaldj.net/2011/07/21/trim-enabler-for-lion/ it is nice and simple (just replacing the string in the binary using perl), so you know you have the latest version of the file (rather than the version that comes with the enabler software). Also - yes I am using...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

For those who had problems enabling TRIM the following worked correctly for me with 10.8.0 and 10.8.1. I haven't ever used the "Enable TRIM" options or the "TRIM Enabler" software etc as I like to know more exactly what I am doing on the system. EDIT: url is...

    Moarfish's build - GA-B75M-D3H i5 3570K

I have also seen this and each time with different brightness, although as it is only on the login screen so I have ignored it. So far I haven't seen the instability on cold boot, but I use sleep a LOT.
