Let me know if you find a way to pull this off without disabling the PCIe in the BIOS first. I have a GTX 1070 and the HD4600, and would like to do the same thing when booting to my hack.
Sounds similar to my issue. I especially notice that it freezes when I'm in the middle of something where I'm zipping the mouse around a bit. I have a SteelSeries WoW wireless gaming mouse, and it's a pretty high refresh rate. You may be on to something.

I'm having similar issues on GA-Z97X-GAMING7 from Gigabyte. Looks like mine struggles after sleep as well. Any suggestions? Should I go down the path of sleep mode fixes, or is this something that will likely be fixed by audio drivers?
