OC 0.9.3 14.0 Beta working on Ethernet or tethered iPhone.
Running of test Samsung SSD.
No BT.
In my build I am using BCM94360NG, which is great with Ventura.
It was time to update OC 0.8.7 > 0.9.0, I then clicked on update and I'm pretty sure it went like a bought one would - too easy. I did have an interesting colour flash/splash on first boot to macOS. See how we go.
OC 0.8.7 - <2GB update never seems to take, but 100% success on the >10GB update.
I performed this on two separate SSDs on this VisionD Z590i machine - 1. Seagate FireCuda 1TB and 2. Samsung 980 Pro NvME 1TB. Details of the build below.
Second attempt success using OC 0.8.6
Notes: both attempts the updater was the 1.12gb version, 1st attempt returned a failed network error of sorts, I did not screen capture it.
2nd attempt was very quick 15-20 minutes max. Seemed like less reboots.
This was performed on a test SSD NvME Samsung...
No success, I'm not sure if it's related to the updating from Monterey 12.6.1 with the smaller install package but it's failed multiple times.
I have since wiped and reinstalled 13.0 on my main machine, which I sort of needed to do one day, but still can't get the small 13.0.1 update to install...
So I'm not alone. I had the same problem, it might be because I updated from Monterey 12.6.1 instead of ding a fresh install of 13.0. It's currently downloading the 11.28GB full update. I'll post the outcome in due course. Thanks for your post.
So my experience is the same as @madman1234 - went...
Hi @Middleman - apologies, I've only just seen your message. As everything is running smoothly (touch wood), I'm reluctant to change anything but I'll try it out on my test rig to see how it goes. Keep you posted. Did I miss a link to the EFI somewhere?
Have you flashed the BIOS to the most...
Great, I'm holding off making major SSDT changes at the moment. So far about four hours this morning without any reliability problems. Touch wood.
21.09.2022 - update (edit)
System has performed optimally since instigating the changes under device properties, SSDTs and a number of Kexts.
Thanks...
@Middleman - I have activated the device properties changes as you suggested. I'm still going through the motions of testing to see how it holds out. It did hang a few times but I just want to keep working to see if there is anything that trips it. Appreciate your help.
Looking at your OC 0.7.8...
Thanks for the suggestion. I made a number of the changes but the Device Properties eludes me a bit. Below is my current. Do you think I should go with just your highlighted device properties. Most of the other changes I have made re quirks etc.
Current performance is normal for about 1 hour...
