Yah I tried, it just stalls even after the boot code nv_disable=1
I just dummied down to Yosemite and it seemed the patch went thru but still no luck.
How can I tell if it worked anyways?
I just don't get why it works stunningly well in windows, and I can't seem to get 60hz on the lgub800...

No is the answer. Still cant get the proper scaling menu to appear and cant get past 4k at 30hz. I also tried an AMD R9 280x card with similar results. I was able to get it to scale properly at 31hz. Not worth it for...
Sadly thats not the case. My tv only has hdmi 2.0
I wouldent be against getting a dedicated monitor but in Windows this display looks incredible. Gaming in 4k is awesome as well. I am ready to give up and just go but one. Untill apple supports 60hz at 4k over hdmi 2.0 i think im screwed...
Yikes now i just get a black screen!!! I must have messed it up. I didnt change it to 6.1 and left it at 5.1 before i rebooted. Could that be the problem?

Im using the hdmi 2.0 port on my card with a 40" lg4k. 4K works fine in Windows. A no show for yosomite.
