Yeah like you wrote, I wanted to minimize the risk of switching those cards. This is the real pain. I hoped for solution but now I see I need to buy low budget gear for Mountain Lion to hang on. I need to check different setups with those two cards, in this moment I can't answer your question.

My problem is everytime I need to check my DVDSP projects I'm forced to switch between my GTX 980 and GTX 650Ti (which works in ML). I've tried to boot with 2 graphics cards on board, but something went wrong with that setup...

I just wondered if someone took drivers from Yosemite and transplanted them to Mountain Lion with success. I need to use Mountain Lion for few DVDSP projects that won't work under Sierra,Yosemite and Mavericks neither.

Got the same problem with very similiar build. Got Gigabyte 680. Black frames shows up on quicklook and on renders from premiere pro and final cut.

Just like I thought. Uninstall flash, repair caches, reboot, install flash.

open system.log in console.app and wait till it freeze.

delete superiofamily.kext

remove VoodooHDA.kext and repair permissions

post a pic from your verbose mode when booting 64 bit kernel
