so I followed the instructions for update, and everything is going well but I feel like the installation is getting stuck at 85%, no matter how much i wait it just stays there

OK guys after trial and error I figured it out. I will show you all the steps to make sure it works:
1- Turn Off your SIP #2
2- download AGDPfix.app (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/424-agdpfix/)
3- Enable Nvidia Webdrivers...

I don't think it matters since they all have the same architecture, the only difference between the cards is the horse power. as long as Nvidia Pascal drivers are out for Mac you don't have to worry about the graphics card you have.

If what Apple said is correct that means the new Mac Pro IS upgrade able, and this means that Apple should give the chance for people to be able to upgrade to Pascal GPUs, that if not the new Mac Pro is already a Pascal equipped Mac.
