Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

Yes, that looks like the same characteristics I get. Mine does seem to settle down the longer its been booted (i.e. when first on its a pain, but after 5-10 mins it rarely occurs). In the process of its flickering, I also find that usb / mouse inputs are dropped (i.e. if I'm in the middle of...

Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

Not really, it seems to be worst after first boot, and seems to settle down the longer the machine is powered on. I've just learnt to live with it to be honest...

Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

Finally got around to trying some other options, If I just use a single DVI port I have no screen issues, so it seems like an issue with using the DP in a multi-screen environment. I have no issues in Windows, could it be it looses the EDID sync (whereas Windows is forgiving, the MacOS sees it...

Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

Mmm, I still haven't found a solution here or elsewhere yet, if I do I will make sure to come back and update this post. I'm also using 2 DP ports and 1 DVI port on my Graphics card (DVI is going into a KVM switch I use), the DP go into a HDMI matrix so I can use my monitors with both my laptop...

Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

Unfortunately I've had no replies apart from yours, and the issue still persists. Have you checked the DMESG log to see if you have any corresponding entries? around the time it occurs? How are you connected to your monitoring, using a single cable, or using dual signal (I know some of the...

Nvidia GTX970 Graphics Disabling / Enabling (Flickering)

GTX 980 Hackintosh 3 Screens Not Working

I'm running a GTX 970 with 3 screens with no issue, have you installed the Nvidia Alternate drivers? The OOTB ones won't work with that card. If you have problems booting suggest you use the nv_disable=1 option when booting (which is the Clover setting, sorry not sure the equivalent under...

Having issues with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on Haswell CPU

idiiamots I've plugged both monitors into the motherboard directly as requested (1st using DVI connector, the 2nd using the HDMI connector), both work fine, with the same resolution (they are however identical monitors). Mmm having both connected also causes me issues on shutdown / restart...

Having issues with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on Haswell CPU

I have also been struggling for the last couple of days to get OSX to boot (installing 10.8.5 with the Unibeast was not an issue), booting to safe mode was the only solution so far. However I am pleased to report that I've done a clean install this morning with the new Multibeast 5.5 and...

    ATi Radeon 4890

I'm just trying to do the same thing. I've manually added the device I'd to the Info.Plist file in the ATI4800Controller.kext (once I realised the info.plist file was hidden), on subsequent restart if has loaded the driver. (for reference I haven't installed the patches in Multibeast, so this...

    Help ATI 4890 Kext Issue

Just to close this off, I've resolved the issue now. It appeared that when rebooting the desktop it thought I had 2 monitors connected (even though I only had one), so when I switched DVI connection I could see the login box. Once in I could disable the second output.

    Help ATI 4890 Kext Issue

Ive finally taken the plunge and upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard which I've been running without issue. I've gone for a clean install using Unibeast which has gone ok. Run Multibeast using just EasyBeast and System Utilities and I can happily reboot my machine into OSX. My problem comes...
