Videoproc can’t be relied on. It says that hevc is supported for me, but my cpu is doing all the job.
Download this file:
http://jell.yfish.us/media/jellyfish-70-mbps-hd-hevc.mkv
Open it with mpv.
If your cpu is not doing any work during the playback, hevc works for you. (check activity monitor).
What ig-platform-id are you using for hd4600&iMacPro1,1?
II have tried using no ig-platform-id, the regular for iGPU and the headless one. iMacPro1,1 with RX580 but no hevc.
Regarding you netflix-problem, I read at github that drm-playback did not work yet.
Hi!
I installed clover to use in UEFI-mode but I still can boot into chimera with legacy-mode.
I followed a guide that showed how to use both bootloaders and the installation part of clover was pretty identical to this guide.
My system is now running clover (on uefi) and seems to be pretty...
Hi everybody,
just wanted to tell everyone in here that have the same configuration as Dasdf to not use Mac Pro 6.1 as system definition as it causes problem and won't boot into OS X after updating to 10.9.3.
I had huge problems after my update until I realized that it was because of "Mac Pro...
Anyone in this thread having problem with usb3 devices? I'm having freezes as soon as I use one. My configuration is the same as Dasdf.
Edit: Found a solution. Removed genericusbxhci.kext
SquadSeven, have you updated to 10.9.2 and do you have problem with usb3-devices? My system freezes as soon as I plug in a usb3-device, even when plugged in a usb2-port.
Edit: Found a solution. Removed genericusbxhci.kext
It seems that I can't use USB3-devices at all, even plugged into usb2-ports.
This is getting really annoying since I'm backing up to both an internal and an external disk.
I have come to this conclusion:
- the freezes don't occur in windows
- the freezes occur when I connect a usb3 device to a usb3 slot, but they do not occur when these devices is connoted to usb2.
- both my u2713hm and WD my passport (the only usb3-devices I have) causes freezes.
I have...
Well, my conclusions were wrong. I recently got freezes, even with the external WD unattached.
Edit: I'll try to unattach all usb connected to usb 3 ports and only use a mouse and keyboard connected to usb2. I'll have to see if this solves the problem.
I have the same behavior and I have a WD passport. I just upgraded from 10.9.1 (which was very stable) and only used multibeast to update audio and TRIM.
When booting with "-s" the system doesn't freeze.
I'm going to backup my WD and update. I'll report if it fix the issue for me.
