    SangThip's Build - ASRock X79 Extreme6 - Core i7-3930K @ 4.2 GHz, 32GB & Geforce GTX 770

@sangthip, Does your build sleep/wake properly? I'm using a similar Marvell 9230-based card and upon wakeup I'm seeing the messages about disks not being unmounted properly, and the HDD connected to the Marvell card is not accessible anymore. I haven't patched my DSDT, do you think that would...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, graphics not fully supported

Also, not sure if that's helpful but I'm seeing messages like this in /var/log/system.log: Apr 16 16:53:47 Plex.local WindowServer[148]: _CGXGLDisplayContextForDisplayDevice: No matching context for device (0x7fadeb502f00) - disabling OpenGL

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, graphics not fully supported

Just got home and tried this. In Chess pieces move, but the window flickers badly after I place a piece on the board. With Launchpad, holding Option key app icons do wiggle; no artifacts. Any suggestions? Regards, Alex.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll surely try them when I have an opportunity. Out of town for a while. :) Regards, Alex.

When I'm using Safari on Customac, the screen flickers horribly. Regards, Alex.

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, graphics not fully supported

I have a somewhat more detailed description in that thread: 129191. As for SSDT, you can just download the ssdt-gr.aml file attached to message #33 in the thread mentioned above, and copy it to /Extra/SSDT.aml. Reboot, and it should take effect. Note that I haven't got full graphics support...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

Well, what can I say? Only that it's a profound victory for our cause. ;) I made Bonjour Sleep Proxy to work! The answer lied in the Understanding Sleep Proxy Service article; I turned on debug logging on the mDNSResponder service that is responsible for SPS and found that it was trying to use...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

Rolling release, huh. What they don't tell you is that some day a broken package will ship and you'll regret the ensuing dependency hell. ;) Auto-updating Linux? I shudder at the thought, honestly. Fortunately I don't have to package and ship software for three major RedHat releases anymore, but...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

@Koalaman, That was the original plan, except that I couldn't really decide which Linux distro I dislike the least. ;) I'd probably go with Ubuntu (and still may) but I happen to still wait for some parts to arrive so I decided to try my luck with Mac OS X. I wouldn't even think of doing it if...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

Tried experimenting with Dark Wake flag that is explained in this thread: 69714. Apparently, the default was 11; I also tried 10 and 8, no change. Customac sleeps normally including autosleep, and wakes up either from keyboard/mouse, or WOL magic packet sent explicitly. When it goes to sleep...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

Ok, today is a discovery day it seems. What I've been calling Wake On LAN is in fact Apple's Bonjour Sleep Proxy. You know, the list of Macs in the Shared sidebar group in Finder; my Mac Mini is always there even when it sleeps, and when I click on its entry it wakes up. So that's a separate...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

Looks like I was too quick to claim that my Customac does not sleep; not sure what I've changed but it does sleep now, and successfully wakes up on USB keyboard/mouse events. Next step is trying Wake On LAN. Regards, Alex.

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

After experimenting with HD4400 patches suggested in that thread: 123760, there is some progress. I've applied the fake desktop HD4600 SSDT, and now display can be put to sleep and turned off completely, just like it should. A big win for sure but system sleep does not work yet, e.g. monitor...

    i3-4130 GA-H87N-WIFI HD4400 Graphics not supported

I have a i3-4130 as well, and although it's not critical for me to have HW graphics acceleration (it'll be a headless server), I'm ready to experiment in the name of science. :) I have a bit different hardware setup though, so instead of posting here I've created a separate thread: 129257...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, graphics not fully supported

Installed 10.9.2 DSDT free, with only Realtek LAN, Universal USB 3.0, and additional SATA drivers. At that point, display could not be put to sleep: it rendered black with mouse cursor still visible, but stayed on. Following in the steps of that thread: 123760, I've applied the last two...

    Can't compile native DSDT?

Thanks, it was hidden in plain sight. :) Hopefully my profile conforms to the rules now. Yes, in fact I was perusing this thread: 123760 and there were several suggestions to apply some code. I wrongly assumed that RehabMan was talking about DSDT, while in fact he mentioned SSDT, which I now...

    Can't compile native DSDT?

Hi guys, Total noob here, trying to make sense of the DSDT and stuff. So I've downloaded the latest MaciASL, booted my system with no DSDT, extracted vanilla System DSDT through File -> New from ACPI -> DSDT, and tried to compile it just for kicks. Unexpectedly, I see a compiler error: Line...

    GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, WOL possible?

GA-H81M-H + i3-4130T, Wake On LAN possible! Hi guys, Customac noob here. This build is for a headless Plex server, so incompatible HD4400 graphics doesn't bother me much. Power consumption is more of a priority (hence 4130T), and I would like to try and make WOL work, if possible at all. I've...
