    Is there any problem with a core i3 330m being listed as a core i5 in 10.6.4? Im just curious as i don't want it to think its something its not and have performance affected. So is this an issue or not?

    it seems to be stopping shortly after "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::Start - waitForService(resourceMatchling(AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement) timed out but the last line it loads which is 8lines down reads "AirPort: Link Up on en1" any suggestions?

    Ok. So then im baffled as to how the other samsung r series got to 10.6.4 with more ease. I have had to do about 20 installs trying to get past the kernel panic with no such luck at all. Is it because of the i3 support in the 10.6.4 that i am getting the panic or some other reason?

    Ok i have a small question. I read that the core i3 330m is supported in the 10.6.3 or the 10.6.4 combo update, buy why am i getting so much grief trying to install those updates. I did the install from a 10.6.0 dvd and updated to 10.6.2 easily but anything after 3 and i ALWAYS get a kernel...

    Re: Wifi Atheros AR9285 100% working!!! 10.6.4 Snow Leopard I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten the brightness settings to work for thr samsung Are series. I have the R480, but the screen won't turn off with the energy saver settings and there is no brightness control at all.

    Yea that update is killer. I'm pretty sure there's some sort of shortcut list on the mac. I'm not sure where I think it's system prederences under keyboard and shortcuts.

    Well i tried it again from -x but it was a no go. *sigh* If anybody else can tell us or point us in the right direction about that evil update then please do so. Iphoneblogr sorry i couldn't do more, but at least we can boot from the HD now which is great.

    ok so I managed to install the 10.6.4 combo update but forgot to run mutibeast before I shut down and at shut down got a kernal error. I have a backup of my install so once I get my suff running I will try it in safe mode and remember to run multibeast.If you decide to try this please be careful...

    what I had to do was start from the hard drive and then using a usb keyboard and mouse run multibeast and install the voodoo ps/2 from the kext section. Then I restarted and voila working keyboard and mouse :) hope this works for you too. Sorry that I can't be more specific I'm on my mobile.
