Yes I had to ensure GraphicsEnabler=Yes was set otherwise the machine would hang at boot time no matter what I did.
Had to remove IGPEnabler=Yes as well.
Ok repaired permissions, installed 10.9.2
first boot FAIL
second boot FAIL (from safe mode)
third boot with '-x -v' FAIL
fourth boot with '-x -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes' OK
I have a AMD 7970 in the machine.
Ran Multibeast and reinstalled Audio, TRIM and set GraphicsEnabler=Yes
fifth boot FAIL...
Hmmm Mavericks says it's a classic app and won't execute it, not supported anymore.
Don't know exactly what it does so a bit suspect of trying to run it as a login item.
I am also suffering these system freezes since the move to Mavericks, no hardware changes whatsoever.

Using Windows in a VMWare Fusion session seems to make the problem worse, sometimes it will lock...
Batteries arrived and put them in, motherboard powered up first time.
Took longer to revive the hackintosh because I had to setup the BIOS and then figure out my custom DSDT was causing the hackintosh to kernel panic at boot time.
But it's working again!
Well I ordered some new batteries but they haven't arrived yet.
So I took another battery from a working PC and put it in the Gigabyte board and it still doesn't work.
So I think I will have to take it back under warranty.
Currently in the same situation.
Just ordered some replacement batteries from eBay, hope they fix the issue.
Changed the PSU and that didn't fix anything.
