Welp I don't know why I didn't try this. Unplugged my mouse from the keyboard and plugged directly into a port on the computer, and the flashing has ceased. Still a bit concerned that a small amount of power is being sent to the usb ports, which likely isn't a good thing for the peripherals. So...

Two things I forgot to mention: -CPU doesn't get power (as far as I can tell) and all fans power down after shutdown And since you can't see it clearly from the video, the power to usb after shutdown is unstable, as the LEDs flicker rather than just remaining lit up.

Hi All I have a nearly perfectly successful Mavericks/Win7 dual drive, dual boot going (full build listed below). Except for one nagging little thing. When I shutdown from OSX, I get lingering power to the usb port, as revealed by my Logitech G15's flashing LEDs and LCD display. See the video...
