I know it has been a long time and you might not even see this but..
Are you by any chance running on a cpu cooler like the Corsair H80/H110 or something similar that has a USB cable plugging directly on your mobo? Did you try disconnecting it if so?
Just out of curiosity I did a clean installation last night. I used a fresh Unibeast + Sierra 10.12.2 usb dongle. Then Multibeast for everything except Audio. After that I only used your alc120 and hdmi120 commands. Internal and HDMI audio worked perfect. Then I installed the new Nvidia web...
update: Switched to OS X Default Graphics Driver instead of NVidia Web Driver and HDMI audio is now audible... Weird.. Is this normal or did I do something wrong with the Web Driver Installation?

-Removed realtekALC.kext and HDMIAudio.kext from efi/clover/kexts/other

Hi toleda,
I upgraded to 10.12.2 and lost HDMI audio. I can see all the output options in system prefs, including HDMI output, but I get no audio from it. On board alc898 works fine.

Yes.
But I did try removing applehda and hdaenabler. Then run multi beast WITH DST -> ALC898. I think I read that in some of the guides. Did not make a difference.
No I had HDMI audio.
What I mean is that, while before the 10.9.2 update I had both audio straight from the alc898 jacks and through the gtx 670 hdmi, after the update I had no audio output devices.
I run multi beast and got back audio from the alc898 jacks.. but no hdmi. :(

Up until now I didn't need any special knowledge or research to get mac os working. Just install, then multi beast and job done.
After the 10.9.2 update I lost all audio. I run...
Tried that.. unfortunately didn't work :(
Running on i7 3770k / z77x-ud5h / gtx 670
Never had to do anything special to get hdmi working on that build. Run multi beast, done. Then I updated to 10.9.2 and all hell broke loose... any other ideas?
