That makes sense. The outer plastic is all I really need to swap so hopefully it works, I won't know for sure until I get the time to take them both apart (I haven't even cracked the 20" open yet)

I have a 20" G4 that I plan on modding, and access to a 17" for parts if I need it. The dome on the 20" has a large section of the finish peeling/scratched off, and I was wondering if the domes are the same size for the different models and if I'd be able to swap the much nicer dome on the 17"...
