    I just have an HDMI cord from from the video card to the monitor. Sound works just fine in Windows. Do you think i need to use a green cord for sound in ML?

    Yeah! Thanks again for the help. I used the dsdt free ALC898. It is the one mentioned in my motherboard manual. I tryed to one you mentioned with no luck either. On 898 I have sound at the headphone jack, just not the monitor speakers. It shows the devices under sounds, just no sound.

    Happy to report that did the trick. Thanks so much for the help. Everything is up and running, including the dual boot. Im missing sound on OSX even after installing the codec in MultiBeast, but I'm sure i can figure that one out with some tinkering. Thanks again guys.

    Alright, I'll give that a shot. I would assume I should disconnect the windows drive, and also set the bios options to IGFX to initialize first?
