    Thank you. I tried the process described here, but I get stuck after inserting the dummy kext. Since only the three red USB 3.2 ports are not working, I might just leave it like it is now...

    I was happy too early. Actually, the USB-ports on the mainboard are not working. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

    Thank you, trs96. I had hoped there is still a direct download link for Catalina. But it seems there isn't one. The "gibmacos" workaround worked great.

    Hi all A bit embarassing, but I am not able to download the Catalina OS via the App Store or elsewhere. I do have a Mac (original) running 10.15.5). Does anybody have a hint? Thank you and best wishes, Dirk

    I have a similar setup. It was working fine until I tried to install a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680. After installing the graphic card, I the monitor was not staying black. It didn't matter whether I connected the display via VGA or MiniDisplayport of the mainboard or via HDMI/DP on the graphic...

    Updating OS from Mountain Lion

    Hello everybody. Looking into the same - an upgrade from Mountain Lion to Sierra. Would be very interested to do a direct update for not having to install all software once again But also very interested on tips how to do a clean install. Cheers!
