Since I did my "chip" build Ive used a magic mouse and apple wireless keyboard. Apart from taking a few seconds to pair when the computer starts up at desktop, they have been great. Now Ive run into an issue.
I don't quite know when its happened (possibly after 10.8.5 update?) but I can now...
I've just bought an Apple TV and would hoping this build would stream it's iTunes library to the tv, you have said airplay audio works but not video. Had anyone successfully streamed an iTunes library (for audio) to a Apple TV/airport express with this?
I'm using Ethernet to a witless router...
Right another piece of info has just come back to me, the windows install was on a 2nd HDD which i have long since removed, so the partitions etc wont be on the current SSD HDD. So its like its looking for that HDD which is no longer there?
What rehab man said sounds most likely to me:
"BIOS...
When turning on my Hackintosh, I get this message which obviously relates to me having windows installed at one point (i now only have OSX on the drive). I just have to press enter and it boots into osx but obviously its an unwanted step in the boot process, how can I get rid of it? Ive tried...
Literally just finished re-reading the whole thread (Im away with work ok, Im bored!) and still not too sure if anyone has managed to have:
1) The latest update 10.8.4 AND
2) A single card solution for wifi AND Bluetooth?
Anyone?
Hi there sorry for the late reply!
I fell in love with the case tbh so just had to squeeze the i5 in there! I definitely got the case and PSU from Overclockers and the cooler was either OC aswell or ebuyer. I love mine!
Well I just installed the combo update, re applied multi beast settings before restarting and now im in a whole world of pain :-(
After the screen with the multi beast logo and the blue loading bar thingy, the screen goes black and the machine reboots, over and over :-(
Now I see the painful...
I want to do the 10.8.3 combo update, but I cant remember what options I had selected in multi beast ;-( Is there a way to see which drivers I have installed so that I can reselect them after the update?
Well my new PC is finally all together and running very nicely on 10.8.2. So heres a few piccies:
Pretty tight in there even without a 3.5in HDD:
Showing the difference from stock cooler to the Gelid one:
During fitting:
With the 3tb 3.5in HDD installed yikes:
Setting the display to 1080p in multibeast as per calle168's post VVV fixed it for me yay!
My only problem now is this damn 3tb HDD issue. Formatted to NTFS/FAT32 the system boots fine. But formatted to exfat (which I need it to be) the system hangs at the bios screen grrrrr. Seems to be fairly...
Just found this thread, I have exactly the same problem :-(
Very frustrating. Z77 mobo here.
Maybe we should all contact GB to push for a fix?
I have my 3tb as my data drive (ssd is boot) so I can unplug its sata cable, start to boot and then plug it back in before OSX looks for my Home...
This is my graphics issue:
I get that on a cold start-up every time. Not when recovering from sleep though. It happens on both HDMI sockets and the DVI port. And unplugging the cable and re-inserting it fixes it. But Id obviously like it to just "work"!
Oh and powering off the monitor...
Right my new case arrived woo!
Its mega mega tiny but veeeery sleek!
Its about to get even tighter too, Ive ordered an aftermarket cooler for the i5 3570k which is mega low profile and ill then be able to squeeze my 3tb 3.5in HDD in there too!
What I want to do is measure my temps now...
That worked great thank you! Things are coming together nicely now! By doing that for some reason it seems to have fixed the external/internal drive issue aswell! Happy days!
Any ideas on the graphics issue anyone?
