Not sure if this was to enable nVidia Driver to install on 10.10.3 (14D136) but no luck. Can't get GTX 980 working now, any idea when nVidia will update their driver for version 14D136? Could we just change version number to trick nVidia Driver Manager?
Finally HDMI 2.0 is working on my LG 4K screen with GTX 980.
However in system preferences it displays as 120.5-inch (7680 x 4050) @ 24Hz, TV says (4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz) should be 49-inch (3840 x 2160) 60Hz. Tried pressing option key whilst selecting scaled resolutions but my screens...
Okay I have been having many issues OS 10.10.1 with my GTX980. So reinstalled using just the HD4600 and it was extremely easy! I've included Multibeast file and the bios settings are ONLY load Optimized Defaults, disable VT-d, Set X.M.P Memory to profile 1 and disable Thunderbolt. Restart using...
Sorry don't have the same BIOS and Multicast setting no more as I moved to IGU GTX 980. Has given me way more trouble than HD4600. As I can remember using HDMI connected to screen, normal BIOS setting such as disable Thunderbolt etc. Multibeast was -x maxmem=8192 npci=0x3000 after install of OS...
NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for 10.10.0 (343.01.01f01) with 'Maxwell' GeForce GTX 970 and 980 Support
Has anyone got the HDMI port working on the GTX 980?
Running iMac 14.2 using others gave me issues. I'll have to workout the multi beast listing and bios settings. The main thing that helped was fresh install without external card. After getting the whole system running with IGPU then external card worked in tandem with the IGPU.
I have just the IGPU running till my GTX 980 arrives next week. Had many installation issues till I removed GTX 780 and fresh install using Intel HD 4600. Now no issues with screen tears, sound is perfect and boots much faster.
Finally have both HD4600 & GTX780 running together THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I have found to get the onboard ALC1150 working. Processor is running at the full 4.4 GHz! Only thing I have disabled is the Thunderbolt so it boots faster, works but I prefer the fast boot time.
All I can convincing say these boards will not boot without discrete card. Then there is no sound. When you enable via bios integrated graphics sound works, when the Apple logo appears the normal popping but won't boot.
Tried but it did nothing. Just can't get the HD4600 enabled and use the GTX780. Without the GTX780 the system will not boot common problem with board. What I can'f figure out is how I got these working together before!
Ive attached a picture of what I'm looking at using DPCI Manager.
Well I messed up the install and now I have no sound yet again.
To get the sound working the Intel HD4600 GPU HAS to be enabled on this board. When I had the sound working last it was when both GTX780 and HD4600 where enabled running 10.9.4. However on the current build I am having not luck...
How did you create a 10.9.4 Unibeast USB? I have been trying to get the same system working for over a week with no progress. I must have it wrong but I thought you could only create 10.9 unibeast and then update 10.9.4?
I'm at a total loss with this system.
I did give Toleda troubleshooting another try and want to say a HUGE APOLOGY! The troubleshooting when followed step by step is sound and worked! You just made my weekend thank you, thank you, thank you.
Turns out the new kext worked but my system wasn't resetting the codec so I hit the CMOS...
Removed old AppleHDA and ran MultiBeast 6.4.1 selecting ALC1150 & Optional 9 Series Motherboard support.
This stopped my system booting just paused after the Apple logo with a black screen and spinning beach ball of death.
I turned of TurboBoost on 4790K which had been running fine and the...
I have followed the very confusing Maverick sound posts and quick fix nothing works.
Currently my audi ID is 0 - from what I have read needs to be 1 or 2 how does one change this.
I have used the latest Multibeast ALC1150 & Intel 9 Series Motherboard Support =nothing. Added optional 3...
