EDIT: WORKS FOR UniBeast 3.0.0 & Mavericks too!! (Just had to do it!)
Hey Everyone!
So I was able to create the USB Stick but had the same issue of having non-responsive USB devices at the Welcome screen. I found the solution on the following website...
Ok...soooo after realizing that I can't use the Optical Drive connector to install my S-ATA3 SSD (since it still uses a mini-IDE connector), I had to remove my "normal" HDD (since this one has an S-ATA connector).
I must say...so far i'm super happy...it might also be since it's a fresh...
Sold. :D
I forgot to mention...I'm based in Switzerland so there is some difference in pricing, but not by much...I guess I will get a Corsair one, since the specifically say it's for Notebook, plus the site selling them only has 5 star ratings as to compatibility with MacBook Pro's...
Cool, thx for the quick reply! I was thinking about replacing one of the 1GB sticks with a 2GB stick...however I wasn't sure as to how sensitive the mac would be to having two sticks of different brands/makes...plus i also read that i would only be able to address 3GB, but 2x2GB would get you...
Hey Everyone!
I'm gonna hijack this thread real quick :) I've got a MacBook Pro 17" (Late 2006) sitting next to me and still running like a champ,...I wanna squeeze maybe one more year out of it, but dealing with lots of open applications and large excel files at uni I'm more and more...

Hey Everyone!
Since I couldn't find a sticky like in the old forum, where we could just quickly say if our new build is working or not I'm just gonna open this thread so you guys know this configuration works :)
Updated according to tonymac's guide (BIG...
Successfully updated to 10.7.2 via Software Update. Had some troubles with Audio because I did not install AppleHDA Rollback before rebooting, so I had to manually delete the .kext and do the Rollback, but sound works now aswell. iCloud didn't work right away...but after a quick look at this...
Yes...so far this is the only one. Does Adobe Reader replace the missing font with another whereas Preview doesn't and instead displays this weird stuff?
Hey Everyone!
So I've installed OS X Lion and am totally happy with it, except for one little Problem:

This is a PDF I wanted to open in Preview.app. When I open the file using Acrobat Reader I can read the whole file without any errors.
I haven't found...

Has a solution been found to this...only just tried out cinebench aswell and even though system profiler recognizes the 4 cores, cinebench does not (it recognizes it as 2C/4T)...
Does cinebench only display the information wrong or does it actually only compute with 2C's?
as do I...sorry...just re-read my post...never mentioned i was using separate drives.
but nevermind...my system is working. i'll figure it out some other time.
there we go ;-) even simpler.
@MacMan: I sorry to bother you with this, but do you know anything about the "problems" i have described above? I have tried browsing through the search results...i have even googled more or less the whole weekend, but couldnt find an answer... :banghead:
well...this is kinda stupid and i don't know if the countdown timer has got a limitation, but in theory if you make the timer really big...it'll be like forcing you to decide ;-)
Just read through the post I recommended. Works like a charm. I recommend you download a plist editor such as "Pref Setter" (freeware, http://www.nightproductions.net/prefsetter.html). After installing pref setter, run it, go File->Open, navigate to your Extra folder and select the...

Re: iBoot + Multibeast = fail

i don't know if you've already read my thread...it starts of by me being...
I thought I had the same problem...turns out there's no problem. I think this might apply to you aswell...
During the countdown timer of chameleon (this blue bar that runs backwards just before OS X loads (if you don't interrupt), the only boot option visible is the first one. Therefore if you...
