[Guide] Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro El Capitan using Clover UEFI

Anyone done 10.13.5 update successfully? I get a kernel panic with extension in backtrace referencing Lilu. I've tried safe mode, ignore cache, dropOEM false, inject intel false, etc. in various combinations with no success. I can't even get it to boot using my clover USB.

Do you have the other framebuffer patches disabled in the config.plist? It's been long enough that I don't remember the details off what issues I did and didn't run into, but I don't think I had that problem.

What you have to do is create a patch for your platform ID (0x0a2e0008 in my case and probably yours as well) in your config.plist to enable the DVMT-prealloc of your choice AND the corresponding framebuffer and cursor bytes. As RehabMan said you want the sum of the cursor bytes and framebuffer...

Copy & Paste isn't working... Help!

What I found when installing High Sierra is that copy/paste works for me until manually patching pixel clock for high DPI displays, at which point copy/paste in any form stops working. Using CoreDisplayFixup.kext + Lilu.kext resolved that issue for me, but this was something I found on a laptop...

[Guide] Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro El Capitan using Clover UEFI

I found a guide that shows the breakdown of the framebuffer structure. What values should I be using for framebuffer and cursor bytes? Should they be the same values as the a260006 patch?

Ah yes. I removed that patch because it's for ig-platform-id 0xa260006 and I'm using 0xa2e0008. What would I change to apply that patch for my platform id?

If you're referring to the "Enable 96MB DVMT-prealloc, 0x0a2e0008" patch for AppleIntelFramebufferAzul it's enabled. I've only seen a reference to the 9mb cursor bytes patch. How would I change this for 96mb vs 128mb DVMT-preallloc? Earlier you had told me the cursor bytes patch didn't apply to...

I had changed to 96mb just for the sake of experimentation. How would the cursor bytes be changed in response and what framebuffer sizes are you referring to? What would there be no point in doing?

I'm still trying to fix a graphics corruption issue. When I run LogicPro, MainStage, Chrome, and a lot of other applications, I get distortion and discoloring as shown in the attached screenshots. If I open chrome or safari while I have Logic or MainStage open the display starts to flash on and...

[Guide] Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro El Capitan using Clover UEFI

That did the trick. Still some glitching around the dock when I move folders around on the Desktop, but that's not a big deal. I would like to fix the post-boot lag. How do I determine which ports are unused to patch the framebuffer like what's done here...

[Guide] Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro El Capitan using Clover UEFI

Ok great. So just to make sure I understand the SSDT structure with DropOEM=false: Will rename patches applied under ACPI/DSDT/Patches also apply to SSDTS in addition the the DSDT? Will SSDT-Config.aml , SSDT-PNLF.aml , and SSDT.aml still be loaded as before from ACPI/patched with no special...

[Guide] Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro El Capitan using Clover UEFI

Will clean up the mess. One of my SSDTs requires the remove _PSS placeholders patch, but all tho others just need IGPU and HDAU. can I do the _PSS patch in config, plist so I can just keep DropOEM = false? Update: I tried 128mb DVMT, but since I'll need to re-patch DSDT/SSDT it wouldn't boot...

ForceKextToLoad removed I fixed the DVMT-Prealloc patch a while back. No idea why it was wrong in the config.plist when I zipped it up. Would I have to re-extract and patch SSDTs after changing DVMT-Prealloc in BIOS?

These are great resources and I have read through them, but they are not 100% comprehensive. I mentioned MaciASL wasn't going to work, so I never actually used it. ssdtPRGen took care of it. Back to my earlier question: What direction should I be taking to troubleshoot the graphics glitches I...

There isn't an updated guide for this laptop and I don't know all the ins and outs of what's different, so I have to follow the guide for El Capitan and see what does and doesn't apply to HS to fill the gaps in the posted known issues with HS. If I were an expert and knew everything already I...

The script I ran for IOKit was the one from this guide that explicitly calls out IOKit.framework I ran a similar scrip previously that called out CoreDisplay.framework None of it really maters now, would just be nice to isolate what had cause the paste error for future knowledge. CPU PM is...

Alright so I finally got audio and brightness working well, so It's down to cosmetics mostly now (and power management, haven't made SSDT.aml yet). I'm putting this together almost exclusively for Logic Pro and MainStage 3 and right now in logic pro some display features are pixelated and...
