I got a little further by setting my bios to legacy only and creating the unibeast thumb drive with legacy mode (even though my system uses uefi). I can now get as far as the clover screen but as soon as i select the option "load osx installer" i just get a black screen and nothing happens...

Seems like no has any ideas? I would really appreciate some help...

Already tried this and still no dice. I just keep getting the "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" message no matter what i do it seems...

Doesn't seem to be working for me. Still the same results as before. Attached screenshots show the drive in disk utility. Maybe there is a different way of erasing the drive using terminal?

ok looks like i got everything working. set my primary boot device to ssd and now everything is a-ok
