Confirmed Audio Interfaces (Hobbyist/Pro-sumer/Pro) & Drivers - Mac OS X

Hello guys, My new USB 2.0 Audient iD22 works just fine with hackintosh : 32 samples @ 44.1 Khz on my current rig (and it was fine too with my old rig) This soundcard just rock my world for a few weeks now. I was under 10.8.5 and I had to make a clean install when my old mobo died last...

Can You really work with your hackintosh?

Hi there, Working on a stable hack since I built it (specs under my avatar). It replaced an first gen mac pro who started to be limited (because of NI Komplete/Kore packages) My soundcard is a TC Konnekt Live and my main DAW is Ableton Live. Using various other virtual instruments and...

Do you own a real Mac?

I own : 1 mbp 13 (for live/djing) 1 old macpro quad 2,66 (old production rig) ... and the new "read my specs" Hack which works 3/4 hours a day (minimum) without a single glitch (new production rig) Consequence: I'm going to sell my macpro (even if it's the best achieved computer I ever bought)

    i7 950, UD-5, Gigabyte HD5770 silent, SSD, newest combo

That's what I did... Works like a charm and far enough power for music production. That's a weird choice...Velociraptor are known to be noisy and to run hot... (even if the things are far better than with the first generations) I would go for a SSD OCZ Vertex 2E 90 Gb (3'5) as System drive and...

    i7 950, UD-5, Gigabyte HD5770 silent, SSD, newest combo

I'm in music production and I would like to give you extra advices. If you put extra damping material in your case, fans are mandatory. If I were you, I'd put at least 2 12cm fans on the case (CPU + rear/exhaust). If you rig still run hot, you might need to put an extra fan (on the front) to...

    SSD and Backup Help

I guess you're talking about Vertex 1 series as the 2 series have the exact same controller you find in OWC drives. All the other drives need a monthly maintenance routine (except Sandforce equipped and in a lesser extent Intel drives according to a lot of mac users)

Noob building a studio hackintosh to run logic pro 7

you're welcome ;) I prefer FW over USB for music purpose. If you only use FW port for the sound card, It will allow you to have a "dedicated" bandwidth and it's more reliable.

    my thoughts..

No problems here. I installed iworks, Ilife11, Logic studio 9 and many other apps, updated thru the apple updater and everything works fine (but my rig specs are closer to tony/macman/lnx2mac 's than yours) What did you think ? You could achieve without a glitch something that peoples are...

Nope... You probably have something wrong. Did you try to type "F5" when inserting the SL disc when you properly booted with Iboot?

Hackintosh Noob looking for some answers :)

 If you can spend a few more bucks, for less than 70€ more, you'll have a "silent" computer using specific additional components. Heat sink : I would probably go for an aftermarket CPU cooler like the Scythe mugen 2 to achieve a better cooling and noiseless operation. PSU : I...

Is this good or could it be better for the rpice in the UK?

You should consider to buy : 2x2Gb, 4x2Gb or 2x4Gb... as P55 doesn't support triple but dual channel DDR3.
