    Solved: Flickering screen with G-Sync

Yes, I had a HTC Vive, which the Mac treats as a second monitor.

No display when HTC Vive is also connected to HDMI (Nvidia 980GTX, 10.12.1)

I solved this. Boot up the Hackintosh with the Vive HDMI cable unplugged. Then plug it in and go to Display settings / Arrangements. Click on Gather Windows, then on the Vive. Change its resolution from Default to Scaled and set it to 720p. Then you can leave the HDMI cable in. It will...

    IOGraphicsAccelerator2 Sierra Lag

Yes, it turns out that doesn't solve it. One workaround is to open display settings and switch the resolution from Default to Scaled. It seems to wake up the graphics card. And then switch it back to Default. It usually (but not always) works.

No display when HTC Vive is also connected to HDMI (Nvidia 980GTX, 10.12.1)

By the way, the problem seems to be that the Vive is the primary display. If you put on the HMD, you can actually sort of see the login screen. This is because HDMI always boots up before Displayport. I suppose you could run the Vive via Displayport, though that seems to introduce its own...

    IOGraphicsAccelerator2 Sierra Lag

I think the solution is that I had the monitor set to a non-standard refresh rate (144 Hz). Set the Display setting to "default for display" which is at 60 Hz and the problem went away.

No display when HTC Vive is also connected to HDMI (Nvidia 980GTX, 10.12.1)

I have the same problem and have searched the internet in vain. I just leave the Vive unplugged when I start up the Mac side. There's been some suggestion it might be a CSM thing in BIOS but that interferes with startup.

    IOGraphicsAccelerator2 Sierra Lag

Same. It's not related to the screensaver as I turned that off. It's clearly about the display sleep (I have the computer's sleep set to "never"). The only way to fix it is to log out and back in (or restart, but that takes longer).

    Solved: Flickering screen with G-Sync

Today my screen started flickering, a kind of rapid flashing like it had a bad cable connection. Cables were fine; I rebooted in Windows and there was no flickering. The solution was to disable G-Sync in the Nvidia Driver Manager Preferences. I don't need it anyway, as I do all my gaming on...

Guide: Multibooting UEFI on Separate Drives

If your mouse is plugged into a USB 3 port, try a USB 2 port instead. Or check that your BIOS is set to initialize USB devices.

G-sync no longer recognized after booting into OS X Yosemite

I have it too. Power cycling is the solution. There's a small switch beside the power cable in the back of the monitor. No need to unplug cables.

Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Did you try changing your system definition? If you go with 14,2 instead of 17,1 it might just work and you can undo the solution to Problem 6, which might be messing with it.

    Sierra SSD trim

That Sudo command worked for me too. So much better than messing about with scary Clover Configurator hex codes. Thanks!

Guide: Multibooting UEFI on Separate Drives

Hi, I followed the instructions and Windows wouldn't install (it didn't like that the EFI partition that the OS installer created was NTFS). Instead, using the Windows UEFI installer (not bothering with the OS X installer), I just formatted the drive and now it works fine, shows up in the...

Solving NVIDIA Driver Install & Loading Problems

Hi, I have an i5 3570k and MSI GTX 1080. I can boot up Sierra with Nvidia drivers disabled with no problem. When I boot up with the Pascal drivers, I get to the blurred background screen that you see when you are asked to log in, but nothing else. More strangely, if I type in my password, it...
