Set up was smooth. It worked out of the box with acceleration, fans are quite but most programs I use are RAM intensive, not GPU, so fans are usually idle. I am on Mojave, I have a mirrored system on a second SSD that I plan to upgrade to Catalina when I have time.
It figured it out: I had two identical systems running on two separate SSD's (both 10.14.6). I added the SSDT-EC.aml only to the EFI of the SSD I wanted to update. I had in fact add it to both (for reasons beyond me). It works now.
I should have disconnected the second system.
Hi P1LGRIM
I followed this but no luck, still stucks at apfs_module_start.. Are you aware of any other solution? Or what else could cause this?
I follow this post as well. Thank you
@jaymonkey I wanted to thank you very much for your great help. I bought MSI RX 580 ARMOR OC and everything works perfectly out of the box :) THANK YOU
I don't want to use HDMI, only DP. and according to the guide all I have to do in this case is set the value to DP, patch it to the config and that's it. didn't work. stock at loading screen.
I will ask my question in his guide. but I did think its possible. I think I have to get a GPU
Here you go. I had some problem booting related to the theme files. I fixed that replacing the theme with embedded. still, pretty fickle behaviour
EDIT: booted a few times. seems stable
I installed all kexts and replaced the config.plist with the latest one from you. I added the hot patches as well. I can boot without any problems. however: back to square one, this time the Hackintool shows me different values. So I can not commence with the framebuffer guide
