That worked flawlessly. Very impressed how great this works now. I finally upgraded to the latest version, and no issues. DP works fine too (with the latest Nvidia driver).
For anyone using installinstallmacos.py (to upgrade to 2208) and it fails with one of these errors:

I'm torn between this. The no backlight after sleep is def something I run into several times a day. I might go back and get the proper backlight controls working with the 3 minute bug. Which osx version are you all running now?
Thank you for this, keep in mind that you have to update your Lilu to the latest also, or else the ALC will not be loaded properly.
Sound is great now :)
Is this for 144hz displays or any displays seeing this 3 minute no backlight issue? I was able to find the max brightness for my screen, and I was able to get the pnlf patch to "work" properly w/o the screen going dark during boot, but it's black for 3 minutes.
It seems like for my setup the...
The sleep issue is my main complaint at this point. I'll see if I get some time over the weekend to dive into what's causing it. If I have a whole day, I might even go back to the lastest osx version and see if I can figure out the 3 minute black screen bs. I guess I can time machine it and...
This is what I'm seeing too. If anyone can figure out the framebuffer / panel match then it might work. I had to revert to the older version of High Sierra to get around the 3 minute black screen issue.
100% brightness is not a problem. I'm not sure I would recommend this if you are looking for a click to install type of experience. There are steps involved which will require;
- Backing up an flashing your bios to enable certain features (if you do it wrong you could brick your computer)
-...
I think there is no way around the black screen with 17G2112, so be cautious about installing that version.
But as JomanJi says, everything works except native brightness because the system is tricked into thinking the internal screen is an external screen.
My battery doesn't last more than 3...
Well, it bugs the hell out of me that it doesn't work. It's so close. The backlight injector looks at maxpwm to find the approriate panel. So there are two paths I see;
a) Upgrade to 17G2112, remove all kexts related to intel, whatevergreen etc. since they are not needed. Understand the...
I cannot get the iGPU to work on osx != 17G2112 without faking the platform. So, the only way I can fix this I guess is to upgrade... again.. but this version works ok now.. So I'm not sure :)
My clover is exactly like yours. The issue I had was with 17G2112. I rolled back.
The problem is the framebuffer changes (where the display ports are switched) as far as I can tell. If you look at your display in About this mac -> Displays mine shows that I'm using a 30.5 display. There are no...
I think I figured it out. To get backlight to turn on there is a framebuffer change done in clover. If you look at the display it thinks it's running on an external monitor. If you remove this framebuffer change, the backlight doesn't come on, but the display show that it's running on the...
