Just upgraded my Everything Works Build to 10.14.5 without any issues. When system reboots select the installer OSX entry and let it run through... after the next reboot the installer entry is gone and system reboots normally...

maybe its my old age, Light mode is easier on my eyes at day time...

yes that worked for me too. select the boot drive in your bios via F12 makes the USB option show up on the left - first option. It installed without problem at that point. Thanks for the pointers!
