You must select the clover EFI file in the BIOS/UEFI settings.

The process of installing Mavericks and Yosemite is pretty much the same, so you shouldn't have problems with using a Mavericks guide.

Yes, I know it is a real mac pro, but as has been shown here in the forum, you can make your own airport card using a pci adapter and plugging a real mac airport card, so it should work if you do it using the latest macs airport cards.

Yeah, I believe the proccess through Clover bootloader is a lot more native-like than with chameleon and the upgrade should go smoothly. However when I did mine while using chameleon, I noticed it was not nearly as smooth as it was in the previous version of the system, so I decided not to do it...

Best option is always to reinstall, but if you think it would be too much of a hassle, just uupgrade it. But keep in mind that with hackintoshes, your best bet is to do a clean install. ;)
