How did you get your HD4000 working? And do you have a DSDT for this board?

    Official HD 4000 Support

I have the 3570K as well, meaning I have HD4000 graphics, but I still can't get it to work. I can get 1080p in safe mode on HDMI but when I boot up normally its garbled. I tried all of the strings and none of them worked (my resolution is properly set in the plist). One interesting thing I...

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

I applied the DSDT and went through the checklist on a fresh install and everything went smooth except for graphics. I also applied the strings from the Enabling HD4000 thread, but none of them seem to work. I have a suspicion this might have something to do with the BIOS GPU settings, but there...

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Hi @MiniITX, I've PM'ed you the DSDT. Let me know if you didn't get it. (Again thanks for your help!!) I've tried all the links you sent me and edited the .plist file with the string. Here's the checklist: > UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation [I did DSDT-free install] > Audio > Without DSDT >...

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Ok, so I've updated/patched the bios, which now allows me to install and boot without problems but the video is still garbled. So I rebooted in safe mode (thanks @MiniITX), and I'm able to get to the desktop in full 1080p, but with no graphics acceleration - meaning I can't do any videos and...

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

@MiniITX, thank you so much for your tips. I'll definitely give it a try. Btw, in case things don't go according to plan, how can i boot into safe mode? (I tried holding shift key, but that didn't work).

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Btw @MiniITX, could you elaborate on Audio, because that wasn't working as well. I'm using a discrete sound card for this setup: Asus Xonar DG. Which kext should I go with for this?

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Thanks for the advice @MiniITX, I'll just update the BIOS then. I'm guessing this is also the cause of the garbled video since the board is connected to the monitor via HDMI.

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

I tried NullCPU and it worked. Thanks!! But I have another problem, when the OS loads into the desktop, the screen flickers and gets completely garbled (noise). Have to figure this out now.

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Ok, I'll try option #3, but when I use the USB drive to boot, it brings me back to the installation screen.

Can't seem to get past the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement KP

Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my hackintosh rig going but seem to be running into issues. I have the following hardware: 1. ASRock Z77 Pro3 motherboard 2. Ivy bridge i5 3. No discrete GPU 4. 8 GB RAM 5. ASUS Xonar Sound Card Before I ran multibeast, I fixed permissions on the disk and then...
