[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Ordered directly from Dell Italy by phone. Part number always the same: PW23Y. The original battery was 7631mAh, the new one is 8085mAh. Working really good so far. Price incl. shipping 58eur (no VAT). For that price, no need to buy third-party ones. +++ Does anyone have a working Catalina...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hi guys, I am the OP. I am absolutely speechless for the amount of information that you brought here in this thread during these 3 years. THANK YOU ALL! Since my XPS was built to be a production machine, at one point I stopped experimenting because it was so good that I've been using it with no...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

The main gripe about this i2c driver is the inability to disable touchpad input in a way similar to how VoodooPS2 does. With proper palm detect functionality, this would not be an issue...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I think that a better method to drive two external monitors is via a displayport splitter, so that both operate natively. An USB-C <> Displayport splitter should do the trick and would be hot-swappable since we are not using the TB lanes and asking for DP alternate mode instead (which is...

Thank you for reporting this. Just one note: the dodocool adapter is listed for 4k @30hz. This means that it does not ask for a DP signal and maybe it just routes an HDMI1 signal (HDMI2 not supported by our laptop) to the monitor. The Choetech I'm using asks for a DP signal and internally...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I looked into your files and it seems to be all right. To be honest, I started experiencing issues with my 4k display yesterday (the screen displays a random pattern of colors instead of the desktop). On Windows it still works great, but now on 10.12 it works only if I plug the cable WHILE in...

It also seems to retain usb-a ports and hopefully a removable wifi card. That's good.

That should work. Try it on Windows on the same laptop.

It should work, even with HDMI audio and hot-plug. I am currently using a 4k@60Hz HDMI 2.0 monitor through an active adapter which asks the PC for a Display Port signal through the "alternate mode", and then actively converts it to HDMI 2.0. Please link to the adapter you are using, please.

I think it's caused by an old version of Clover that does not support tje new parameter in Kexttopatch. I briefly tried by updating Clover, but my wifi went missing, so I still have to test VoodooI2C as soon as I troubleshoot the missing Wifi on newer Clover revisions.

29W is the bare minimum. Tried a 27W one and it didn't charge at all. With 29W charger, when you draw a lot of power (e.g. iPad charging from port at 2.0A + CAD work) the performances degrade and you have to unplug/replug. I've been charging with 29W charger for more than one year, limiting...

I'll add: Have a look at one of my previous replies. I have documented a way of using thre internal USB header to connect a small USB device (in my case, a Logitech Unifying receiver). On 9370, you have to discover whether that header is still predent. I suspect it is, since there's the (unused)...

Can't say for sure, but I bet PM will be as good as with the 850. Give it a try and eventually return and swap for an 850 (almost identical performance). To check if PM is working, just place your finger on the controller. If it's hot, PM is not working.
