So frustrating... I have a GA-Z87MX-D3H MB build and it runs pretty well except for 2 issues. The main issue is plugging my USB enclosure into the USB port. The enclosure (4 drives) show up in Finder without an issue but after about 3 minutes, they disconnect on their own and I get the Eject...
I too just setup this board and followed the TonyMac's thread under Golden Builds to get a fully working system... Needed to do a few other tweaks for Maps/Audio/Chimera dual boot to work - but all in all that guide got me up and running in no time.
Also to note - I needed to do a firmware...
Thanks Def.. Yeah.. I think I didn't state my question clearly... is there a way to get "right click" mouse gestures using Safari on the mac similar to the "all-in-one gestures" addon for firefox that I'm used to using in Windows?
Re-reading my original question... I have to LOL... of course...
Hi.. one last piece to a perfect hackintosh... I seem to not have the ability to use mouse gestures in Safari under Mavericks... I am using a normal USB mouse (logitech) and note the gestures tab is not present on the Mouse screen in Preferences... is this normal and because I'm not using a...
Holy Smokes... I unplugged the green speaker cable on the back of the machine and then plugged it back in ... and we HAVE SOUND!!! I'll be!!! :beachball:
So.. final question... how do I make an image/clone of the system so should something happen, I can just revert right back to this spot...
Thx Toleda - I am pretty sure I am using the HD Audio connector which the MB uses by default as well (and works via window).. but will check tonight. Assuming I am using the HD Audio - did I miss a step someplace or need to configure something differently in BIOS or via Multibeast?
Thanks...
So.. if I didn't run the Disk Permissions BEFORE multi-beast... is my only option to start over with a clean install of Mavericks?!? I have everything else working fine.... would hate to have to start over again... Sigh!!
Thx Toleda - interesting that I don't have the Headphones option showing.. yet when I plug in my headphones to the Case front port - they work but show up under Internal Speakers.... Speakers are plugged into Motherboard Green Port but no sound comes from them even when using Internal...
when you say "synch them up"... what do you mean? I see the following in Sound:
Internal Speakers Built in
Line Out Audio line out port
Line Out Audio line out port
Digital Out Optical digital out port
In Audio Devices/Midi I see
Built in Output (which highlights when I click...
Oh well.. no dice.. headphones still work after doing this.. but audio via speakers in green jack still don't work. Think I might just go get some powered speakers and plug into headphone jack meanwhile... since everything else works.. can't complain I guess!
thanks Stork.. will give it a try.. repaired the maps issue by deleting some kexts for the internal vid card that I am not using...
Should mention that the headphone jack works fine... just not the external outputs.... stay tuned!
Ok... so sound is working through headphones only using headphone port.... still not luck getting Line out to appear. Interesting enough -there appears to be 2 Line out options in Sound... both do not work though...
Help?
Just fixed #3 as well .. who hoo..
To help others.. I just did this and it worked... now.. just sound missing remains!
Delete these kexts from System\Library\Extensions
AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext
AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext
AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext
AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext
Then use...
