I use 2 SSDTs with Clover, one has laso options for PM, and the other one for USB ports.
I might try them instead of yours.
Do you think I can use the SSDTs I already use for Clover?
Many thanks for the quick reply :)
I didn't notice any problem with my DVD-BR player (it eventually spinned every 10mins, but now it's not doing it anymore).
So, I just have to switch the EFI folder in my EFI partition and cross fingers
Yeah, I don't have any Gen2 peripheral in order to...
Hi Aldaro. I have a very similar build: Asus Prime Z370-A (1st) + i5 9600K + 32GB RAM + RX 560.
Are you able to use USB 3.1 gen2 at full speed?
Plus, are the onboard usb ports activated?
Do you think that if I use your OC folder I would have any problem?
What are the big differencies that you...
I will try it because I am having the same problem! And luckily I own the same motherboard.
Just one question: are the onboard ports active? Because I use all of them apart from the usb3 connector near to sata connectors.
many thanks
Hi @NorthAmTransAm
I am planning to buy the same motherboard so I would like to know some things:
- Did you upgrade to Catalina ?
- does your asmedia usb 3.1 gen2 ports work well and OOB?
many thanks
Hi
Do you think your config will work on ROG Strix H370-F Gaming ?
Basically they are the same board but -I is an ITX so has less expansion slots
I would do a fresh install with ROG Strix H370-F and Radeon RX 560 (that should work OOB)
Many thanks
Hi
Could you confirm that these ports are working properly:
ASMedia® USB 3.1 Gen 2 controller :
2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 port(s) (2 at back panel, +teal blue, Type-A)
thanks
Dear all,
I have found this motherboard "Asus TUF Z370-PRO GAMING" used at a good price.
It seems from the specs that it has almost everything I need, and I guess it would be perfect as it's in the Buyer's guide list.

The strange thing is that sometimes the SSD(or HD) gets recognized and I can see what's inside.
I was able to restore Time-Machine but I think some app or kexts messed up the system
So I've done a fresh install...and again, during installation the SSD was recognized, after the installation the...
Dear community
I have done a fresh install of Catalina on an NVME ssd.
I use a normal SATA HD for EFI (as my motherboard does not recognize nvme ssd as boot device).
The problem I am having is that I can't see the partitions of my old HD (used for TimeMachine) and SSD (on which I installed...
I had a successful experience with my old Z77 board. You just need nvmexpressdxe.x64.efi
Clover recognizes the nvme ssd. I installed W10 on it and had full speed benchmarks!
I would love to try the new Catalina on it.
Currently I have 1 SSD for booting with Clover and Sierra on it.
I wonder if...
