I had a GC-WB300D PCI-e card installed OSX 10.8.2 on my ASUS x79 Pro and everything has been working really well. Until I decided to remove the card, then I got a kernel panic. I rebooted with -v and it was crashing at the point where it was loading the PCI cards - it said PCI configuration...
Here is my new build. Almost have it done except I am hanging after I install MultiBeast. I'll update this thread with the MultiBeast settings I used. Saw this thread, would this apply in my case? I don't see a DSDT for the ASUS x79 Pro yet.

I followed the directions for the lion install here:

Having problems installing Lion. I get to the 2nd half of the install then it hangs and eventually reboots at:
USBMSC Identifier (non-unique)
When I run the installer I use this string:
PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000 -v
any ideas? I'm soo much closer than I was yesterday!
