Removing google chrome from my hackintosh apparently really solved this issue.
I'm wondering: Is this a hackintosh specific problem? And if it is, can anybody explain the relation between google chrome running and a modified audio kext on a hackintosh that finally leads to sound distortion?
I just want to add my experiences with this issue to this thread too:
It's not related to the built in soundcard. I have this problem using my externel usb sound card too.
Switching the audio device might help for a limited amount of time.
It seems like it is not related to Chrome /...
I just wanted to add that I experience this problem on my hackintosh with booth built in AND external soundcard (Creative Tactic 3D Alpha) on OS X 10.9.
Problem solved: I was able to boot using the unibeast drive. I deleted the Extras Folder and installed the minimum DSDT-free installation with GraphicsEnabler=NO using multibeast. Everything is running again and it seems like 10.8.3 makes no trouble at all.
Thank you for your reply ... I did choose "dsdt-free" not the easybeast option. Do you have any idea what to try to get my system working again without a complete reinstall?

Hey,
I just installed OS X 10.8.3 on my Hack Pro. After rebooting everything except audio worked fine, so I installed MutiBeast again with the DSDT-Free Installation, Audio drivers, graphics drivers and support for Core i5/i7...
Haven't tested anything else but someone pointed out that this MIGHT be related to the encryption that is used. What encryption are u using? I'm aware that this is no solution but i'm facing the same problem and will look at my wifi settings later. Maybe the problem can be isolated. What...
Double checked my router. Works like a charm under windows and with my MacBook Pro. But you're right about access points. They like to fail silently and cause all kinds of strange network behavior (except for just shutting down). Someone pointed out that this issue might be related to the type...
Does your WDN4800 wifi cards works for you (longer than 5 minutes)? I'm using the Z77-D3SH with the same card and my wifi sometimes drops the connection but it still appears connected in the UI. I'm looking into different setups to isolate the problem. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your great...
I'm using the WDN4800 with OS X 10.8.2 and don't experience this issue. My console seems clear while using wifi. But i'm having trouble with random wifi drops as described in this threads:
