For anybody else who had this problem, I managed to fix it by simply reinstalling the 10.8.2 combo update. I don't know what it was that went wrong, but that fixed it.

The backup was of 10.8.2 from literally about an hour earlier, where Facebook integration was working fine. I performed a whole disk restore as I'd messed up some bootloader settings. There are no updates available, either. I'd had this problem before when restoring, and the only way I managed...

Anyone else had this problem? 'Click to post' is there, but when I click on it, it freezes for a second and then from then on will do nothing. I'm no longer receiving Facebook notifications in OS X either. I've tried deleting and re-adding the account but that didn't make any difference. Any ideas?
