I had this kind of issue when I was on Snow Leopard.
It's not happening since I've changed the SATA cable for the Mac HD.
By the way, another solution could be 'using a different SATA port'.
Yeah, I had fully working Snow Leopard (10.6.6) install and I installed Lion over Snow Leopard. By the 'Archived System', I meant the automatic backup taken by Lion Installation while upgrading.
