I was previously using Sierra on this PC no problems DSDTless and almost Kextless apart from FakeSMC and Realtek Ethernet.
I wanted to start fresh so I made my own High Sierra USB with the latest CloverEFI with FakeSMC and Realtek...
Thanks for the feedback!
As I said I am a novice, I didn't realise there were other ways of mounting EFI without going into terminal.
The DSDT and injector are part of the EFI zip attached to the post.
I have a 10.10.0 install USB and my card works great using clover, imac 14,2 and relevant dsdt. When I install 10.10.2 update it shows the Apple loading screen, screen goes black and then machine just reboots and it does it in a loop.
What is going wrong?
I'm sure it was working fine around DP2-3 time but I don't have access to it anymore, maybe a rollback of drivers is needed.
*edit*
Rolling back to DP2 didn't work. I'm not sure what else to try.
I'm using the latest Clover and mine is set up exactly like yours yet I am getting hot plug issues.
What SMBIOS do you use, I'm using iMac14,2 with a legit serial number, not sure if SMBIOS would affect it?
Do you use SSDT or anything?

Using Chimera and CloverEFI it works out of the box with default ID with full acceleration but I am having problems with dual screen.
If I have second screen on and turn it off then the whole OS freezes every 3-4 seconds until I turn the second screen back on...
Running latest Ozmosis and my graphics card is detected as AMD Radeon HD 7970 X-Edition 3072 MB but I don't get any image on 2nd screen or the option to enable mirroring.
The 2nd screen works on the boot screen and as soon as it flashes to login screen the 2nd screen goes dead.
What am I...
I have an SSD as my primary drive that was used to hold Windows 8.1.
I formatted and installed Mavericks and CloverEFI so I can use my 7850 without messing about with onboard graphics and rotate.
Clover is installed and I mounted the EFI partition and everything is there but when I try and...
I have Z68AP-D3 and mine is Hybrid EFI as well.
Set OS type to Windows 8 and boot mode to UEFI and legacy, make sure VT-d is off and tell it to boot from EFI: YourHDDhere first and you should be good to go.
The driver works on 7850 though, shows up as Radeon 7xxx 2048MB but has full acceleration so it'll probably work on yours.
If you have a Gigabyte board that allows you to boot from EFI partitions then you can customise the Clover installation so it installs it into the EFI partition and not...
I have a 2GB Powercolor 7850.
I could never get it working in Mountain Lion. Found some drivers in a thread I can't remember where but managed to get my 7850 working great with 10.9 Mavericks without having to enable onboard graphics using Clover boot loader.
Made my own Mavericks Clover...
