My thoughts too, I'd rather avoid porting any garbage from El Capitan if I can avoid it. I tried to do AGDPFix but when I disabled SIP and rebooted, it says SIP is still in place. I'll give that another try tonight, but I'm confused on why I couldn't disable SIP. Hopefully that's an easy fix.

That's very similar to what I had happening. I would boot and the first port/monitor would drive the POST and loading screen, then OSX would open and it would switch to the second port/monitor. It was switching outputs during the OS boot process. Given that and your images above, I suspect...

It's now working... I really did nothing, it just rebooted once and starting working magically. If I figure it out, I'll make sure to post a solution here.

So, I had the same issue and the second monitor just suddenly started working. I get a similar error as you about the "Bad Display Config Block Signature". I'm not sure what happened, but it's working. I wish I could provide some input but there's nothing I can think of that fixed it.
