I also have this mainboard and sometimes the bluetooth works kinda with the build in card.
It's not stable though - sometimes the bluetooth is not recognized and sometimes the devices won't pair, hard shutdown and/or disconnecting the pc from power seems to help(?).
I don't have any usb adapters...

But I saw, that my configuration says iMac 14,2, instead of something like MacPro 6,1 or iMac 17,1.
