Attach image of the specific "dialog" you have showing.
Perhaps you need EFICheckDisabler.kext... (I created one a while back, you can find with google).
RehabMan,
Can you take a look at my EFI?
I keep getting an apple dialog popping up saying that my EFI is corrupt and asking for pemission to send the EFI dump to apple. This is happening on my HP ProBook 650 G1 g8l26us, i5-4300m Haswell, HD4600 1920x1080, Bios 01.39 Rev.A, 43225HMB.

I have an 850G3 with 1080 display and I can say that it is tons more real-estate than Retina display, but at the cost of size - everything is tiny and I have hard time reading the screen (before I got a pair of reading glasses ;) ).
I think the retina display is really 1/2 of the stated size if...
I did the same screen replacement on my 850G3 and I did not need the a HIRES aml file, I think that is only for the older laptosp, but RehabMan knows for sure. If your screen is working without hires then you are fine.
Ok I will try to get it done this weekend.
I forgot to mention that I can remote connect from another machine and see the screen just fine so it appears that something is just getting corrupted when waking display.
10.12.5 and 10.12.6 are fine.
10.13 installer has same problem if I let it sit long enough that the display goes to sleep.
I have not been able to get 10.13 installed on a new partition yet, I will keep at it as time permits.
I could have attached the old CLOVER folder same with the ioreg.
This time I deleted the FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext and display sleep/wake is still not working.
I am pretty sure I got all the correct files attached this time, sorry for the confusing files being attached.
I confirm the problem is only with putting display to sleep and wake of display.
I updated repo and tried without LPC, problem still exist.
I removed SMBUS section from SSDT, problem still exist (assuming I did it correctly).
Not sure if I covered all the tests you wanted me to try.
In progress migration to 10.13, deleted
Not sure how
Deleted just in case
EC Reset before posting, EC reset and charging again

I have a hot corner setup to "Put display to sleep" and I can reproduce the problem by doing that
Investigating
Don't see it in SSDT, AppleLPC appears...
If you follow the guide (post #1) I don't see why you would have any problems. My summary of the process would be update the repo, update config.plist, update smbios (build.sh && install_acpi), update downloads (download.sh && install_downloads.sh)
1) I am seeing a white (almost solid white, seems to pulse) screen when letting laptop sit for a bit and returning to it. I think the display has gone to sleep but failed to wake up because I typed my password multiple times and hit return and nothing happened so I power cycle the laptop and...
