Actually... Final Solution: Disable Serial Port in Super IO on Motherboard Bios (MSI Z97)

Same issue on MSI Z97 Gaming 3 Board fixed with disabling the serial port. (Partial Solution: SMSL DAC switched to 48kHz Format.)

I've got a comparable issue: Audio artefacts with SMSL USB DAC on switching to Catalina, changing to 48kHz solved this.
