HP Elite Slice ("Windows Mac Mini") Hackintosh?

Hi, any updates on this topic? I'm quite impressed with the HP Elite Slice and am currently thinking about buying one. Obviously, I'd like to run MacOS and not Windoze... :)

    install problemen

Hi, I had problems booting from my dvd drive, too, but then I just copied the dvd image to an usb hdd and it works! You'll need access to another working mac in order to do this... This is what I did: I attached my usb hdd to my MacBook, partitioned and formatted everything with HFS+ (I...

Gigabyte Radeon HD 5770 Batmobile Appreciation Thread

Hi, after reading so often about how great the Gigabyte HD 5770 Batmobile works I bought one myself. It really works great and I'm happy I got it (I had a HD 5750 Silent Cell prior to the Batmobile) - however, I still have some minor problems I ran into that I want to solve (if there's a thread...

    Rookie tri boot system

Hi, I also wanted to build a triple boot system - MacOS X, Ubuntu and Windows XP - using a single hdd. First thing I discovered: Since Windows XP does not support GPT and MacOS X does not run on "MBR partitioned" hdds you can't have both on the same drive at the same time. So I got Windows 7...

    gigabyte 5750

Hi, I tried the Gigabyte HD5750 Silent Cell, but without success (it might work using some hacks, though). The problem is that this card does not correspond to the reference design that has 2 x DVI, HDMI and DP. The HD5770 Silent Cell, on the other hand, seems to correspond to the reference...

    install problemen

Hi firedragon53, I can't really understand your problem. You write that you don't have an internal dvd player (I assume you mean a cd/dvd drive), and yet you try to boot with an iBoot cd... Maybe it'll be easier if you post your question in your native language. brazza

Which Ati Radeon Fanless for 10.6.7 ?

Hello, I own a Gigabyte HD5750 Silent Cell, which isn't really supported (I'm stuck with 1400x1050 without any acceleration, video etc.). This is due to the fact that it appears to be a non-"reference design". In my case the connectors (VGA, HDMI and DVI-I and DVI-D) do not correspond to those...

10.6.7 Native ATi 5xxx/6xxx Cards which work (and don't)

My graphics card - Gigabyte HD5750 (GV-R575SL-1GI) - remains unsupported and does not work (well, it wasn't in the list of supported cards anyway).

(Solved) Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D

Short update: Beelzebozo's DSDT solved some of my minor problems: Now shutdown works perfectly, and the system recognizes all my USB devices. My graphics card related problem remain, though.

P7P55D DSDT EDITING - So Far...

Thanks! I took your advice and used your DSDT, and it works just fine (I didn't perform any tests, though). BTW: Wouldn't it be a good idea to upload your DSDT to the database?

P7P55D DSDT EDITING - So Far...

Hi Beelzebozo, I was afraid of that... I scanned this thread yesterday and found 3 DSDTs for BIOS version 2003. They're all about the same size (60KB), while the DSDT from the database is much smaller (24KB). I'll try the 3 DSDTs I found here and report my findings.

P7P55D DSDT EDITING - So Far...

Hello all, the DSDT database contains a single DSDT file for the ASUS P7P55D, version "unknown". Does anyone know the BIOS version that was used? TIA!

(Solved) Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D

Thanks! And yes, I have searched the forum and found several posts related to the HD5750. I tried the described methods, but until now nothing has worked (I think the only method I didn't try was the ATY_Init thing). The user notshy wrote in another thread that the "Gigabyte Silent Cell" cards...

Simple HD 57/58/59xx Installation Using MultiBeast [OLD]

Re: UPDATED Simple HD 57/58/59xx Installation Using MultiBeast Sorry, I wasn't able to find a BIOS for download. I did, however, find a utility to update/backup the BIOS. I'll extract the BIOS and come back to you (this will take a while since I have to install Windoze to be able to use the...

(Solved) Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D

Hello all, using the current version of MultiBeast (3.3) and Beelzebozo's video tutorial I managed to install MacOS X 10.6.3 (and update to 10.6.6) successfully. I can now also boot directly without the iBoot CD or any args (like "-x PciRoot=1" etc.). However, my work isn't done yet. My system...

(Solved) Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D

Re: Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D Hi Beelzebozo, I figured that much a couple of days ago and updated my BIOS to version 2003. Concerning the DSDT.aml file from the website's database: Do you know for which BIOS version it is? Or could you please post your DSDT for BIOS...

(Solved) Snow Leopard Install Problems on ASUS P7P55D

Hello all, I've been trying for 2 days now to install Snow Leopard on my PC. I've used tonymacx86's tutorial ("iBoot + MultiBeast: Install Mac OS X on any Intel-based PC") and also followed beelzebozo's video tutorial. This is what happened so far: Booting with iBoot (using "-x -v PciRoot=1")...
