Hey guys,
I have an old setup thats been rock solid for years (I never update) I honestly cant even remember if I'm on Yosemite or Sierra (I have a strong feeling I did indeed go to Sierra).
z77-ds3h rev1 and a i5 3550k
Anyway - I unplugged my pc the other day as I was decorating the office...
Am I going to bork anything if I add another SSD to my computer and install yosemite on it with a fresh install and keep mavericks on the existing SSD and duel booting between them?
I don't want to fully commit to yosemite as I don't know if all the bugs are worked out with some of the web...
It's my first hackintosh and I installed ML hassle free - everything works out the box and I saw no panics or errors - all software installed, cuda working yadda yadda- however when it comes to updates - should I install them or stay well clear?
I noticed each time i boot and login to ML I see a white transparent square in the top left corner that flashes - its where my mouse cursor starts - any one experienced this? doesn't affect anything just looks ugly
A common post on here no doubt but I've done some research so I'm fairly happy what I have is all correct but I do have some additional queries:
1, I've specced 16gb of RAM - (2x8gb) does 32gb throw up any unexpected errors if I was to upgrade
2, Is it best practise to install ML with all...
I did a hackintosh years ago and haven't had time to since.
I'm wanting to build a system up to run Lion or ML based on a i5 ivy or sandy system.
Can someone please advise me if it's worth waiting a few more weeks until ML is out and more information has been found out... or if its ok to go...
