Using the native AGPM didn't work for me, so I used aolivero's AGPM. Just rename iMac12,1 to MacPro5,1 and rename the other MacPro5,1 entry to something stupid, like MacPro10,1. aolivero, are you using a legacy AGPM, because yours worked, while the native one didn't?

This is right after installing your AGPM into MacPro5,1. Help? Edit: It switches to 405mhz a few minutes after boot, but what worries me is that it still uses g-state 3: (ignore the failed to load messages, that was me being silly)

Mind posting your AGPM's info.plist? I am using the GFX0 from iMac12,1 copied and pasted into MacPro5,1 and renamed to Vendor10deDevice1244

I am pleased to say that the new drivers do fix all of my problems, and have had no freezes so far.

Can you tell me these things: 1. Does resolution changing work? 2. Can you run Unigine Heaven on high-shaders? 3. Can you run the Luxmark "Room" benchmark? 4. Does display sleep work? 5. Do random freezes occur? 6. What OpenCL, OpenGL, GPUSupport versions are you using? Thanks!

Tonymacx86 is an Intel-only community. Kepler cards do not work in Snow Leopard. AMD CPUs don't work properly in ANY version of OS X.

Regarding my previous post, it appears that I was mistaken about my card's stability on 10.8.2. My Gigabyte 550ti, using the DP3 drivers from aolivero's post, freezes 100% when performing Luxmark's "Room Benchmark" at the beginning, and freezes 80% of the time (tested 10 times) when running...

This is a GPU thread, not a motherboard thread. Ask somebody else who has that motherboard.

@aolivero: Thanks! My 550ti is working as great as it did in Lion! (also, unigine scores increased).

This is a Mountain Lion thread, hence it is in the Mountain Lion Desktop Support section. Speaking of Mountain Lion, the 10.8.2 supplemental update does not change anything particularly important. My system is fine after installing it.

That driver is for Fermi cards only, since you have a Kepler card, you'll need to look elsewhere (try sleepenabler, DSDT edits, etc...). Note: This thread is for Fermi users only

Mobile GPUs usually have different memory controllers to conserve power, as I have not had any channel exceptions, or freezes for that matter, with my 550ti for the past few days.

10.8.2 has been a lot more successful for my Gigabyte 550ti with vczilla's instructions (no freezes), have you tried it?
