I had this same problem a month ago when using a 2500k with the z77-ud5h; I have it running stable now for a few weeks after installing a sb graphics enabler kext I found online and its been good so far to me but this sounds a lot better to use for native support; i highly recommend putting this...
How'd you get the 7.1 working??? (I don't need it but would be cool to have hahahaaa) and i don't think it'll work because real macs don't have via, but you could try it and see if it does (it didn't for me back when I used the via port)
It might but idk if it would have the qe/ci acceleration [EDIT it should work if you have the dvid-vga adapter and use a via cable, just as long as you use the dvi port in the back you should be okay]
From what I've heard you're supposed to change the system definition to mac mini or the macbook pro but I want the mac pro system definition because i think its cooler hahaaha but you just instal the next from the previous posts once you have the dvi cable.
Try the second line out right above the digital out and have your speakers plugged into the black "rear" audio port (its in the middle above the green)
I got sleep and wake working without the dsdt. It took me awhile to figure out how to though because I originally had a dsdt but (for reasons unknown) it messed up sleep/wake. And as for usb 3.0, the ports for them are working but not sure if its at 3.0 speeds but I don't have any 3.0 devices...
Oh sorry repair permissions but its under the system utilities in multi beast haha and I've got sound working (but only through the green [EDIT it works I thought it was the green but I checked and it was the black rear line out] line out in the back) install the alc8xxhda (non legacy worked and...
I had the same kernel panics revolving around the integrated graphics (HD 3000 from a 2500k) and the same z77 UD5H. Once you've got lion on it, run multi beast and choose user ddst (except with this board you actually don't need a ddst so don't put one on the desktop). Then reboot and if you're...
Thanks for the link, hopefully that will work whenever the dvi cable gets here (right now I'm using an old via cable and I believe that is the source of my problems because macs don't come with via connectors)
Thanks again though!
Just wanted to post this for any new buyers out there. I got this mob last week and got almost everything up and running (don't have video card yet so using internal graphics and thats still giving a few hassles but oh well)
I have managed to get it to boot by itself and have audio on bios...
