Did a new benchmark with the CPU overclocked to 4.6Ghz.
I think the relatively low benchmark could be a result of my 1333mhz RAM, but RAM speed doesn't make a huge difference in most performance tasks anyway so it doesn't really matter.
On Windows I get 4130 on single core and 16279 on...

I've heard that having Turbo Boost enabled can result in kernel panics on OSX. Not sure if that would be your problem but it might be worth having a look at it.
I'm just using the default RAM settings, and you probably should to. Misconfigured RAM can result in system instability...
Make sure you install NVIDIA's web drivers. They are required for Maxwell support. Make sure you're running OSX 10.10 :)

A predefined 4.8Ghz overclock setting is very unlikely to work. OSX is resetting because the overclock is unstable. Nothing wrong with the hackintosh system itself.
Do some research on how to properly overclock.
