    [SUCCESS] Powerhack G5 - i7 4790K / GA-Z97M-D3H / 16GB DDR3 / GTX 560 (Yosemite + Clover) and (Windo

Did a new benchmark with the CPU overclocked to 4.6Ghz. I think the relatively low benchmark could be a result of my 1333mhz RAM, but RAM speed doesn't make a huge difference in most performance tasks anyway so it doesn't really matter. On Windows I get 4130 on single core and 16279 on...

I've got a mid-2011 model iMac with Sandy Bridge Core i5 and 12GB RAM. Pretty decent computer actually :P

Thanks! I've heard that having Turbo Boost enabled can result in kernel panics on OSX. Not sure if that would be your problem but it might be worth having a look at it. I'm just using the default RAM settings, and you probably should to. Misconfigured RAM can result in system instability...

Make sure you install NVIDIA's web drivers. They are required for Maxwell support. Make sure you're running OSX 10.10 :) @jbamford: Oh awesome! I'll take out the NullCPUManagement kext and see what happens :) @dmilith: Hm maybe it's because of nullcpumanagement disabling the turbo boost...

    Overclocking clover installation

A predefined 4.8Ghz overclock setting is very unlikely to work. OSX is resetting because the overclock is unstable. Nothing wrong with the hackintosh system itself. Do some research on how to properly overclock. The basic system is: CPU Ghz = Base clock * multiplier. By stock the 4790K...

    i7 4790k running 90-100ºC

Make sure the Intel stock cooler is properly seated. I've seen so many cases of people just gently pushing in the pins and as a result having incomplete compact between the IHS and the heatsink. Press the pins firmly until they click. Once the cooler is properly installed you should be able to...
