    Bonjour64?

Should I need http://pcwizcomputer.com/weaksauce12/20 ... -bit-snow/ for other macs on the network to be able to see my hackintosh? The hackintosh can see my MBP and Macbook but the laptops can't see my hackintosh. Thanks, M.

Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file

Y, simplicity is a factor that seems to have escaped many in the community. Effort is all very fragmented. It drives me nuts seeing huge numbers of long pages of instructions, only to get 34 pages in and to find that people have worked out a better solution but didn't bother to update the...

Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file

A set of DSDT .diff files that could be applied via command line patch. Like DSDTSE's list, but with: 1) some help as to which to apply 2) some automation as users often cause errors by pasting into the wrong part of the file A reported-bad flag for a mobo-stepping + patch & a disclaimer...

Unticking to uninstall on subsequent runs

Ok, thanks. So that would be a nice addition: remember / work out what was installed previously and adjust from there. If it logged the settings it could roll-forward and roll-back to a given moment in time. Cheers, M.

Unticking to uninstall on subsequent runs

Say I add packages, and install. Then - I run multibeast again - this time the packages I installed last time are not ticked. This means I can't untick the items to uninstall. Is there a way to uninstall packages using multibeast? Thanks, M.

    Hardware section

Likewise, if you start to incorporate other motherboards (or laptops) you will want to push down all existing forums into an appropriate context. e.g. P55 /* or P55/UDM5/* or Desktop/P55/* and Laptop/Motherboard/* M.

    Which version of VoodooHDA?

Hi - can you tell me how to determine which version of VoodooHDA is being installed? I know that there's been a lot of work on here: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.p ... c=355&st=0 Even though the main thread is supposed to be here: http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.p ...

Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file

[1:55pm] Kabyl: is the motherboard model readily accessible during chameleon's start? [1:55pm] Kabyl: that's in SMBIOS, so yes [1:55pm] Kabyl: but some boards don't have that set [1:57pm] Kabyl: IMO, the P-States AML code should be left in an SSDT [1:57pm] Kabyl: maybe then, you can distribute...

Do you own a real Mac?

It took me all of 3 days after I had built my first hackintosh for me to buy a macbookpro. Then I converted the whole household, and two of my siblings too. Credit goes to the Hackintosh initiative for converting me.

    Other motherboards, e.g. GA-P35C-DS3R

:) I asked because 10.6.0 was 11mb but 10.6.2 was ~2mb I ended up installing without ticking either. As I figure EasyBeast just a way of pre-selecting settings. If that is true, perhaps it should be the first entry in the list? Thanks, M.

    Other motherboards, e.g. GA-P35C-DS3R

Should I select EasyBeast 10.6.0 and EasyBeast 10.6.2? I am running 10.6.2. The P35C-DS3R doesn't need any DSDT.aml file to boot, just to get sound, sleep and networking functioning. Thanks, M.

Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file

Y, I can imagine many ways of doing it. 1. a set of prebuilt amls, one per mobo+stepping combination 2. a set of patch documents, one per motherboard, so the more specific the case, patched during first run if the AML was missing. It would help if Chameleon would extract the CMOS version of...

Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file

I was asking in irc:irc.voodooprojects.org/#Chameleon two things that might interest you: 1) Why DSDT loading status is not logged 2) Whether Chameleon could choose the right AML file [10:37am]TheRebelMC: Is there a log that shows whether the DSDT.aml file was loaded? i.e. no log after the...

    Other motherboards, e.g. GA-P35C-DS3R

Thanks Tony. Would it matter that the P35 (with which I use a Q6600) is LGA775 Socket based rather than core i5/i7? Also, do you package the VoodooHDA or is there some other way that sound is likely to work? Thanks, M.

    Other motherboards, e.g. GA-P35C-DS3R

Hi Tony, You have a great site here, Tony, and good tools to package. Have you considered opening up the tools to allow them to be used with other motherboards? I suppose you'd need to create forums per motherboard, move specific p55 stuff to a subdirectory, and use a public contribution...
