I JUST installed the EVGA Geforce GT 640 and it is showing as the following under About this mac:
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2048 MB graphics
What brand did you get?
Great build...I'm doing an i5 2500K build with the same mobo and video card. Which version number of MultiBeast did you use that has the Sandy Bridge support for Mountain Lion?

Good question...not finding much info as most people use one or the other on their hackintosh. Of course, it works great in Windows...I have two monitors plugged into the 680 and one into the motherboard utilizing HD3000 and it works...
Were you able to get onboard video working? My HD3000 is not showing up (i72600k)...and I would like to use it to get my third monitor working. Of course, it works great when booted on my Win 7 drive...but no luck so far on my Hackintosh boot.

Nice build. Mine is very similar: Sabertooth Z77, i7 2600K, GTX 680 & Mountain Lion.
Did you get the onboard HD4000 to work on your system? My HD3000 is not showing up and I would like to use it to get a third monitor working.
+1! Thanks for the write up...just got my Asus Sabertooth Z77 / i7 2600k / PNY GTX680 up and running and pretty much followed your directions and it worked great! Dual-Boot is working as well.
Booting on Agility 3 60GB, one each for OS X & Windows 7.
Seagate Barracuda 1TB for Data Drive on OS X
WD Black 1TB for Data Drive on Windows 7
WD Green 2TB to backup both
I also have an ASUS Sabertooth P67 I would like to try a Hackintosh build with. I would be happy to help with this (creating the DSDT) and help with testing if that might help us get one posted in the database.
Thanks
Do you mean in OS X? Just curious...because I was thinking of adding another SSD to my current rig to dual boot win7 & OS X. But I have a 590 and three monitors working in windows.
Mine isn't the greatest water cooled system out there...but now that I built my wife's hackintosh (http://youtu.be/dl9_4LBb_4c)...I'm thinking very strongly about trying to accomplish a dual-boot on my rig the next time I rebuild it:

Re: Guide: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with ATI 6870 - Clean Lion Install
I have to admit...I'm a little disappointed. I did all my homework, including reading this entire 50+ page thread a few times, and everything worked like a charm! I thought this would be much more challenging! :)
THANK YOU Gordo74 &...
Awesome...thanks for the feedback!
The SSD's I already own...so I will be giving them a try...but if they don't work out I will be picking up the Crucials.
1. Some of these parts I already have, but can replace if absolutely necessary to get a stable build.
2. I am aware of the generic issues with the OCZ SSD's in the past, but have been running them in a windows system with no issues whatsoever since the firmware fixes.
3. I'm pretty sure this...
