Hi Tony,
Im glad to see this thread. I have yet to install El Capitan due to me having a mixed configuration (7 series motherboard, sandy bridge cpu). When you mean the MEI fix, do you mean modifying the kext like in this post you mentioned...
I tried this on my macbook pro with a fresh install.
Just formatted both disks in the diskutil, then opened the terminal up during the installer and fired up those commands.
Seems to work like a charm.
However, I haven't tested it out on my hackintosh yet.
However I do plan on trying it...
EVGA GTX 570 SC working here. Looks like we don't even need the OpenCL patch from multi beast as luxmark seems to use it just fine.
Also installed the CuDA drivers from nvidia.
One note though, I wasn't able to install mountain lion using the gtx 570. I had to use the integrated intel...
Yep, the DSDT is on the first page. My geekbench scores were around 11800.
Try not choosing the overcocked SSDT. Just choose the i7 SSDT.
It maybe because I have a 2700k which is clocked higher than the 2600k (I have yet to overclock my system too)
Also, make sure you put my DSDT on the...
I wonder if it's because you are using an ivy bridge cpu. I'm using only a sandy bridge cpu without any usb patches or the like. Perhaps once the latest macbookpro patch gets analysed you might be able to get everything working.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to test out overclocking.
Im using the multibeast ssdt for overclocking, but haven't actually made any changes to the bios.
However, I do have proper speedstep working.
That being said, once I do start overclocking, I won't be using multibeasts ssdt as I...
It's quite strange that you needed to install that. I haven't isntalled any fixes. This sort of make me wonder if you have a little bit different hardware.
I've updated the first post with a self made wifi card. I know you have your wifi card from gigabyte, but if it doesnt work for you, I've...
Hm, I can't tell you then. Take a picture of your cables and the connector on the motherboard perhaps? Can't really identify what's wrong at this point.
Are you using a dsdt? I noticed you have the wifi version of the board. does the wifi version just include a wifi/bluetooth pci-e card? or is it affixed to the board itself?
If it's just a pci-e card, did you try my dsdt? It requires the F7 bios
Hm that is definitely strange. Have you installed any extra kexts?
Im about to post a screen shot of my multibeast settings. Maybe you can compare there (see the edited post in about 5 min)
That really depends on your case.
My case has two dedicated usb 2.0 connectors that specifically state usb, and i have one usb 3.0 connector on the front.
On the board, there are two F_usb connectors for front USB. You just need to make sure you connect them in the correct direction. My...
I have tested the front ports, they all work. However I've only tested usb 2.0 devices as i have no usb 3.0 devices. But If im correct, apple supplies no usb 3.0 drivers, so we would need third party suppliers.
Hi jester969, I modified the post. Hopefully it's to the proper standards
I haven't tested USB 3.0 out as I have no USB 3.0 devices.
However I do use the slots as usb 2.0 devices, and they seem to work fine
