I figured it out. Installing NullCPUPowerManagement.kext fixed it.

[Guide] High Sierra 10.13 on Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 / MSI GTX 970

My GB5 score is 617/2291 in Linux, which is about the same as yours. I can't run GB5 in mac because still I have 10.12. But my GB4 scores are less than half of what they are in Linux. So my hackintosh is half-fast. Maybe it's my BIOS, I have version F9. Or I have an incorrect clover setting...

[Guide] High Sierra 10.13 on Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 / MSI GTX 970

I also get 532000000, and in System Information's Hardware Overview tab I get the wrong FSB as well. And changing it it clover's config does nothing. However, at the clover boot prompt, I do get the correct speed: I bet your system is running at half speed. I know for sure that mine...

[Guide] High Sierra 10.13 on Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 / MSI GTX 970

The System Information.app utility gives me the FSB speed (and so does sysctl hw.busfrequency on the command line). Also clover gives my correct speed 133MHz at the boot screen, but once the OS loads it changes to 533Mhz, and now the system is half as fast. So everything takes 2x longer. What is...

[Guide] High Sierra 10.13 on Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 / MSI GTX 970

I have the same motherboard, but my FSB (Bus Speed) shows up as 533Mhz (instead of 133Mhz) resulting in system that runs at half speed. Do you have this issue?

[KINDASOLVED] GTX 470 CUDA & Blender Cycles in Lion

I have it working. But on on my 9800GT, Blender has to recompile the cuda kernel just once and it takes about 10 minutes! After that, the kernel is saved in the cache and cycles runs faster than the cpu. Also, the Blender internal renderer is much slower with 8 cores on OSX64 (76sec) comapred...

    Incorrect resolution during boot

Let me see if I understand. Do you get only 1024x768 during boot, and unstretched 1280x1024 with my patched boot0, and then 1920x1080 once the OS is loaded? If so, this is normal for nvidia cards. I have tried to get 1920x1080 durning boot as well, and it is a limitation of the vbios when the...

    Incorrect resolution during boot

I do not think the vbios is the problem. I also do not have 1920x1080 in my 9800GT VESA table. I've looked at many nvidia bioses and none have 1920x1080 listed. Your problem is most likely the drivers. Things to check: 1. Are you using GraphicsEnabler=Yes in /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist? 2...

    Made a terrible mistake.

I believe formatting doesn't wipe the whole drive, but it does overwrite the 1st few sectors. So your info is most likely still there -- it is just inaccessible. You might also try partedmagic; it also has partition recovery. You can also start searching at a particular offset for your data...

Booting like an Apple Mac #1: Apple Splash Screen

It is stretched for me at 1920x1080. But the original boot logo was also stretched, so it has nothing to do with the image. It's a matter of your BIOS and your monitor getting into the right mode. For example, your BIOS screens are in a text mode, and the boot logo is in a 640x480 graphics mode...

    GRUB took over Chameleon

First of all, you have to install GRUB in the partition boot record (/dev/sda2) not in the MBR (/dev/sda) in order for Linux to show up in the Chameleon boot menu, and also so that it doesn't overwrite Chameleon. Reinstalling Chameleon usually does the trick. You can also install manually with...

How to Unstretch the Chameleon Boot Screen

That's exactly what it's supposed to do. You can also try this to get a bigger view: "For best results, add your card's highest VESA resolution to com.apple.Boot.plist. It must be in it's own key, not on the 'Kernel Flags' line. It should look like this: <key>Graphics Mode</key>...
