Dell u2713HM sending YPbPr over DisplayPort or HDMI

Hi guys, Sorry to be posting a bit in the wrong section since it affects my MPBr while my hack deals with it fine, but maybe someone knows if it's possible to edit this TV property and force RGB via some kext editing or something? MBPr - miniDP > DP: http://cl.ly/image/0K3u3l1G0E0O Hack -...

15' Retina > Dell U2713HM sending colors in YPbPr instead of RGB

Hi guys, There seems to be a universal issue with 27+ Dell monitors and OSX sending output in YPbPr instead of RGB over HDMI or DisplayPort. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1481582 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4286200?start=0&tstart=0...

My luck with the GTX 560 so far (freezes from time to time)

Hi there! So I've used a Gigabyte GTX 560 (non Ti) for 1-2 months now and the only critical issue I have yet to solve is the random freezes I get from time to time. What I've done so far: 1) 10.7.2 + UniBeast + Multibeast 4.2.1 (standard stuff + GF100 Fermi Patches) btw, the Fermi patches...

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

+1 for a unified guide! :) I tried to switch from my 9800 GT to a GTX 560 (non Ti) 2 days ago but it crashed really bad. After a fresh Unibeast/10.7.2 install I had only set PCIRootID=1 and installed the 5xx GTX enabler mentioned earlier in this thread. Dual monitors btw. It was really messed...

cool! and if 3 monitors were out of the question, would you prefer a ATI 6850 or a GTX 460?

    ATI or NVIDIA?

Hey guys, I'm planning on upgrading my video card but there's one issue that got me thinking. I want to buy a 3rd monitor and from what I've seen only ATI cards feature 3 ports (2 DVI, 1 DisplayPort). I've been using NVIDIA cards since my first PCs way back so I'd like to know if you guys...

persisting RAM problems on fresh Lion and GA-X58-UD3R rev 2

Nope, mine was inspired by one of Tony's Customacs at the time :) But do you have 2 triple channel kits or 3 dual channel kits? I was wondering if it's just a marketing thing or it really makes a difference. Concerning the testing, the first "weird" kit seems to work fine since I bought it...

persisting RAM problems on fresh Lion and GA-X58-UD3R rev 2

Hey inertSpark, thanks for the reply! 2. it is connected to the Marvel ports since from what I've gathered you get more speed there compared to the Intel SATA2 ports even though it's still nowhere near Intel SATA3 ports which the modo doesn't have. DiskSpeed yields 220MB/s write and 370MB/s...

persisting RAM problems on fresh Lion and GA-X58-UD3R rev 2

Hi guys, I'm having some sort of trouble with my RAM for about a year now and I just can't figure it out. Today I did a fresh install on Lion since I bought an ssd. Quick and simple, used the Installer partition from my previous drive, no rBoot needed and it worked. However, previously I had...

    Weird CPU issues on GA-X58A-UD3R

When I reinstalled the second time I also bought a new WD Caviar Black so I'm guessing the disk is not the problem. Not sure about the ram, but here are the last 3 crash reports I've found for Chrome: https://gist.github.com/1034020 I watched the Console log and not all the crashes get saved...

    Weird CPU issues on GA-X58A-UD3R

I built my sweet hackint0sh about a year ago and tonymacx86 & crew deserve a statue for their work. That's not the issue though :) Back in the days of 10.6.4 all was fine, I had a ~11K geekbench score and was using the stock FA (I think) BIOS. Some months ago I did a clean reinstall and...

    OSX becomes very slow/unresponsive

Hi, So 1 month ago I did a clean reinstall and updated my BIOS from FA to FE before that. Lnx2Mac BIOS guide, iBoot, FE DSDT from db, MultiBeast 3.1, 10.6.6 update got me http://grab.by/9aIz in my /Extra folder and a GeekBench64 score of around 9600. Strangely, my previous install of 10.6.4...
